A Thousand Paper Cranes
Tara Novak
It was February, I had just come home from a year of nearly 200 days on the road, and I was spending a lot of time reflecting while at my piano... thinking about people I had met while traveling, people I had met in the past... thinking about how lives intersect. The image of one person kept coming back to me – a friend who had appeared when I most needed someone, and who had then disappeared from my life after that. I kept wondering if he was OK, and wishing I had some way to say “Thank You” to him. I wrote “A Thousand Paper Cranes” for this friend.
